The Greatest Greatness of George W. Bush

That "joke" -- pretending to look everywhere for WMD -- is the "top" moment of his presidency for me. It's just too bad a bomb didn't go off in his face as he peered under the podium the way soldiers were getting bombed looking for weapons that didn't exist because of lies he told.
To me -- that was the ultimate act of disrespect -- the ultimate stupidity. I don't even know how to express the disgust I felt when he did that. At that moment -- I hated him.

And the idiots who chuckled at his "humor", and even voted for him again. I have a very hard time not hating them.
Though a lot of them switched their tune in 2006 and '08, it was only after Bush's policies started hitting THEM -- if only in the pocketbook.

Pitt really gives good screed, no?
I started reading his stuff back in 2001 before 9/11 at the "Angry Liberal", I seem to remember. That's been a long time ago.

If someone asked me for "the top 5" I might have come up with the same as Pitt. Maybe not.
Lying the world into a war that didn't need to be fought and has killed 10's to 100's of thousands, displaced millions, and stoked anti-American hatred in the middle east for another generation has to be at the top. Throw in the war crimes that prove that "we" aren't any better than "he" and you've got yourself a doozy of a first place contestant.
"Raping the middle class and destroying the American dream" might be tied for second with "raping the constitution and destroying the rule of law". At least, it's hard for me to say which is worse.
I could probably think of a lot of things that could come in 4th or 5th. Letting the poor die after Katrina, giving credibility and refuge and power to the batshit crazy fundagelics (remember Haggard the meth-snorting cocksucker used to call the WH once a week?), raping and destroying the justice department, trying to sell "star wars" instead of listening to "bin Laden determined to strike in US", keeping the WH more secretive than Nixon (think we'll learn who was at Cheney's "energy" meetings any time soon?), sending the message to the rest of the world "who cares what you think?"...
Geez, the list just goes on and on.
So, yeah, I've found that I can (sort of) forgive people who admit they voted for Bush, but regret it.
But if someone's telling me about how great a job they think Bush did I just can't bring myself to think of them as anything but a sociopath of questionable IQ. I know I wouldn't trust them with anything.
11 days to go. We just might make it.
But it's gonna take DECADES to clean up this man-child dry-drunk's mess.
